Rise Girls: Yoga, Mindfulness & Resilience
The intent of the Rise Girls Program is to foster positive connection and growth for our community of girls as they approach and endure adolescence. We want to arm them with coping strategies so they can navigate the complexities of these years, with a solid selfesteem so they can confidently be who they are and with resilience for when things get rough. We will use a variety of modalities, such as mindfulness, yoga, art therapy, journaling and beyond. This first course will run over 4 weeks as a Tuesday evening session commencing February 25th , 70 minutes (finishing at 8:10pm). Girls are welcome to sign up for the course even if they know they may miss one of the classes as it has been priced with this in mind. I encourage Rise Girls to have all jobs/tasks completed for the evening before coming in as we will finish our sessions with mindfulness or a relaxation exercise so they can be ready to head home and settle in for sleep. Dress in comfy clothes to stretch and move in. Leave your shoes, bags and phones on silent at the door.
